The final version of Defending Norandy Vol.1A, which has been eagerly awaited by fans and gamers alike, is nearing completion. It should be released in May.


German Chain of Command LXXXIV. A.K. The battle to clear the peninsula continued well into July. Cherbourg, a vital port city, was liberated by the end of June. However the fight to free the Cotentin peninsula continued into July. The German forces that were involved in the battle have not been studied adequately. Niels Henkemans re-creates the battle from the perspective of each unit by analysing German accounts, German records and Allied Intelligence. A.K. A.K. The series also looks at infantry divisions, in general, and in particular two during the battles of the summer 1944. The series gives a more in-depth look at the battles than a campaign can. Vol.1B will continue with four more divisions.

Defending Normandy offers the reader unprecedented detail on the formations discussed. Each unit is examined in detail, including its organisation, equipment and pre-invasion background, as well as their tactical role during the Cotentin campaign. This unique exploration of the Cotentin Campaign is accompanied by dozens of maps, photos, and graphics.
